1st Anniversary and we are so very grateful!

May 19, 2025 … The opening day of our life’s dream one year ago.

Looking back on this first year leaves us overwhelmed with gratitude.

What began as a vision, a leap of faith, and an enormous labor of love became the opening of 

The Bourbon Barrel Inn Bed & Breakfast —   

A place we hoped would feel different from the traditional Bed & Breakfast experience. We wanted something warm yet elegant… historic yet fresh… luxurious yet deeply personal. Most importantly, we wanted every guest who walked through our doors to feel less like a customer and more like family.

To every single guest who took a chance on us during our very first year — THANK YOU. 

You trusted two people with a dream, and because of you, that dream became something far greater than we ever imagined. The friendships, conversations, laughter during evening “Post Time,” shared bourbons, homemade breakfasts, and heartfelt goodbyes have become the soul of this home.

In less than one year, because of all of YOU:

We received over 90, 5-Star Google Reviews, along with countless incredible reviews across multiple travel platforms. Thats over 100 5-Star reviews in our first year!
We were named one of the Top 3 in BusinessesRatedTM in Louisville within 3 months of opening our Bed & Breakfast.
And perhaps one of our proudest honors — becoming a member of the prestigious Select Registry which for more than 50 years has pioneered the craft lodging industry and represents some of the most distinctive and highly curated properties across North America.

To receive that recognition in less than six months after opening is something incredibly rare, humbling, and emotional for us.

This home may be built of brick, limestone, history, and bourbon barrels… but Bourbon Barrel Inn was truly built by the kindness, support, encouragement and love shown to us by our guests.
